Why Open Access Matters for Preserving Tut

A language or speech tradition cannot be preserved only by saying it matters. People have to be able to learn it, use it, teach it, and pass it on.

Scarcity Can Become Disappearance

When knowledge stays inside a very small circle, each broken teaching chain matters more. If many families no longer know a tradition exists, restricting access can make recovery even harder.

Open Does Not Mean Rootless

Open learning should not erase where Tut comes from. Tutnese.org identifies Tut with Black American history and community transmission, preserves source attribution, and distinguishes documented evidence from oral tradition and modern teaching choices.

The Preservation Goal

The goal is not to make Tut culturally anonymous. The goal is to make sure the tradition remains learnable while its roots stay visible.

Tutnese.org summarizes this approach simply: Learn it. Speak it. Pass it on.
